Kia GT4 Stinger Concept interior is purposeful in design and practical in nature. Front and centre to the driver is a thick D-shaped steering wheel and red LED-illuminated instrument panel with large tachometer and gear indicator. In keeping with the track theme and taking inspiration from sports and competition cars of the past, interior door handles have been replaced by red-stitched pull straps. Reflecting the spirit of pure, unadulterated driving, the GT4 Stinger makes do without the luxury of a stereo. Instead, the free-flow exhaust pipes will be music to the ears of driving enthusiasts everywhere.

The Perodua Viva receives the “Value-For-Money Car of the Year (1.3L and below)” award for the 7th year at the Frost & Sullivan’s Malaysia Award Ceremony here tonight.

Fans of Triumph Motorcycles in the Northern region of Peninsular Malaysia now have a reason to rejoice as local importer, Fast Bikes Sdn Bhd, has spread it’s wings by opening a third Malaysian outlet. This comes closely after having launched its flagship store in Section 13 Petaling Jaya in the last quarter of 2013.

The opening of the Penang outlet will be held on Saturday 12^th April 2014 from 8.30pm - 10.30pm while the location is at 27, Jalan Gottlieb, Georgetown Penang. A group of Triumph owners, also know as The Rat Pack, will ride up from Kuala Lumpur to join in the festivities on the day. A few owners from Singapore are also expected to join in the fun.

The Triumph brand has seen a renaissance with Malaysian riders over recent years. Aside from the brand representation from Fast Bikes Sdn Bhd, the production of some truly class-leading machinery from the Hinckley factory in the UK has also helped a lot.

Ducati reveals surprise new Senna edition Panigale S

A SPECIAL Ducati 1199 Panigale S, dedicated to Formula 1 racer Ayrton Senna, is to be built for the Brazilian market.

Limited to just 161 bikes to celebrate the number of grands prix that Senna contested before his tragic death at Imola in 1994, production will start mid-way through 2014 – 20 years on from that fateful day.

It is being built with the full backing of the Senna Foundation, to which Ducati will be making donations linked to the sales of the special edition Panigale S.

The special grey and red livery was chosen by Senna himself during his final visit to the Ducati factory only a few weeks before his death. The design was put into limited production in 1995, with the 300-bike ‘916 Senna I’ special edition.

Later that decade two more Senna specials were built. The ‘916 Senna II’ and ‘916 Senna III’ came in 1997 and 1998 respectively, again with limited numbers. The three versions of what many believe to be Ducati’s finest-looking bike ever are among the most sought-after among collectors, virtually guaranteeing the enduring investment value of the new machine.

Starting from June 2014, the 1199 Panigale S Senna will sport the special Senna colour scheme and each of the 161 motorcycles will be supplied with a racing exhaust system and each have its individual production number inscribed on the top fork clamp.

The Volkswagen Golf R has traditionally been the most powerful production version for each generation of Golf. But could Volkswagen be planning to introduce an even more powerful version of the Golf? That’s what this Golf R 400 Concept seem to indicate.

The Golf R 400 Concept also uses a 2.0 litre TSI engine just like the Mk7 GTI and R; however this one has its roots from the Polo WRC‘s racing engine. Peak power is 400 PS and 450 Nm of torque, channeled to all four wheels via a six-speed DSG gearbox and Haldex-based 4MOTION permanent all-wheel-drive. That’s a full 100 PS more than the Golf R.

It’s not the most powerful version of the 2.0 TSI in a concept that we’ve seen – the TT quattro sport conceptfrom Geneva has 420 PS – but still, it’s a very impressive power to displacement ratio. The 400 PS/450 Nm takes the Golf R 400 Concept up to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

The exterior design of the Golf R 400 Concept – based on the three-door Golf body – has also been revised, now having flared fenders as a modern interpretation of the Golf G60 rally car from 1988. The front and rear bumpers and many other parts made of visible carbon fibre. The interior is finished with Alcantara and racing seats covered with “carbon leather”. Suspension settings remain the same as the Golf R’s.
